To create a new Discount for use in invoicing, simply navigate to Billing–>Settings–>Discounts, and click the + button



From there, a form will slide down from the top of the table, with a few fields for you to fill out.



Name

This is what will appear as the name of the Discount when the Discount is used on Invoices and Estimates. Both admins and clients will see the name of Discount when it is applied to an Invoice or Estimate.


Description

This is what will appear as the description of the Discount when the Discount is used on Invoices and Estimates. Both admins and clients will see the description of Discount when it is applied to an Invoice or Estimate.


Quantity

The Quantity of a Discount is set to 1 by default, and cannot be modified.


Rate

This is the numerical value of the discount. Depending on what you choose as the Rate Type, this number may be either a specific dollar amount, or a percentage.


Rate Type

This setting determines if the Rate you previously defined is either a specific dollar amount, or a percentage.


When the Discount info is filled out to your liking, just click Save.
